Here I am...all of me.

My second daughter was born 6 months ago and I am ready to put some effort into losing weight rather than just hoping it will come off by itself since that approach isn't working.

I've been on the heavier side for as long as I can remember and always just accepted that that was the way it was.  Not any more!  I'm about 5'4" and graduated high school somewhere in the 170s.  By the end of my freshman year I was into the 180s and couldn't wear my size 14 pants.  We had a gym on campus and I started using it and made it down to  160.  Through a bit more effort I was down to 150 by our wedding in July of 2006.  But I gained 60lbs with my first pregnancy which put me at 210 a week before delivery.  And what they said was true "9 months up, 9 months down."  Or mostly true at least, when she was 10 months old I was in my cousins wedding wearing a size 10 dress which is what I wore before getting pregnant.  The lowest I got after my first pregnancy was 155.  Then I got pregnant again and made my way up to 218 (yikes!).  I was down to 177 but cakes, cookies, milkshakes and company later I'm back up to 187 (BMI 32.1).

And so begins my journey to a weight that is considered healthy with a BMI lower than 25 which is 145lbs at the most.  So that is my goal.  145.  Healthy.  So...as my daughter would say "Ready, set go!!!"
